Food Applications Research & Development Director

Asim leads the Food & Nutrition application research and development team. He is responsible for supporting business growth by providing technical leadership to the sales teams as well as technical support to producers and customers. The Application & Development Center will be adequately equipped and staffed to conduct ingredient qualification, food application testing, and prototype development, focused on the strategic products and applications.

Marly leads the Brenntag North America’s Food & Nutrition Application & Development Center in Canada. She is responsible for coordinating various initiatives and food projects across the region, and she specializes in natural colors, fruit prep, bakery fillings, pectin, sweet flavors, and confectionery.

Terry is quite experienced in the areas of soups and sauces, emulsions, ready-to-eat food, frozen desserts, and more. As part of the Food Research & Development team, he works with customers to formulate solutions.

Trevor has over 7 years of experience focusing on the development of new release aid and processing aid for industrial and food service customers. At Brenntag, he focuses on food safety and quality, microbial shelf-life, antimicrobials, pan release agent, processed meat, and pet food.

Norm has over 35 years of experience in the food industry. He has a strong focus on hydrocolloids, cyclodextrin, emulsifiers, antioxidants, and general food applications.
